CELEBRATING — International Women's Day

To everyone’s surprise, our brainstorm about International Women’s Day didn’t take too long. We’re known to not shy away from big projects and are always looking for cool angles, but thought it’d be best to take a good look at ourselves first. Yes, you can take this quite literally, as MARNIX & ALLY consists of 80% women, including clients, team members and the captain of our ship, An-Katrien Dullers.

Although we’ve (not so) secretly grown a bit tired of hashtags like #girlboss, #bosslady and #mompreneur (sorry not sorry), we can’t forget merely 35% of the Belgian entrepreneurs are female. For every woman who starts her own business, there are two men who do the same, and European women still earn about 16% less than their male colleagues. Of course we’ve made so much progression since the ‘60s, but we can’t deny there’s still margin for improvement.

As we’re celebrating International Women’s Day today, there’s truly no better time to (re)introduce you to a few inspiring women behind our impressive percentage. Do you have some time? ‘Cause there are lots of them. (And we didn't even include our international clients!)

You go girls.
